Reach your peak by getting involved in all of our STRONG B.A.N.D.S events.  Get a wristband at any one of our events and wear it throughout May to show your commitment to living a healthy lifestyle. 

Make positive changes in your health during May with Strong B.A.N.D.S.

Strong B.A.N.D.S. – Strong Balance, Activity, Nutrition, Determination and Strength – promotes healthy, active lifestyles for Army communities. Throughout the month, it motivates Army Soldiers, Families, Retirees and Civilians to get and stay fit.

There are lots of ways to get involved! Participate in garrison fitness and wellness programs. Learn about health and fitness topics with our online resources. Make our nutritious recipes at home. And don’t forget: share your news with friends and family, and invite them on the adventure, too!

Garrison Intramural Volleyball Championships - May 3-5
Tower Barracks

Functional Fitness Challenge - May 11, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
This challenge is open to male and female competitors to compete in four challenges. Pre-register by May 9 to receive a shirt.
Onsite registration: 8:30 a.m.
Opening remarks: 8:45 a.m.

Softball Coaches/Officials Clinic - May 13-16, 6 p.m.
Register to become a coach or official for intramural softball. Contact your local fitness center for more information.

StoryWalk at Tower Barracks Library - May 15, 10 a.m.

During Story Time at Tower Barracks Library at 10:00 a.m. May 15, children and their parents are invited to participate in the Strong B.A.N.D.S. (Balance, Activity Nutrition, Determination and Strength) StoryWalk®. Participants will walk and read pages from a story book in addition to regular Story Time activities.

IMCOM Varsity Volleyball - May 17-19
This tournament is open to all DOD ID card holders and is offered as an additional opportunity for individuals to compete against a higher level of competition.

Run to Honor - May 23
Join the Run to Honor, dedicated to our fallen Soldiers and surviving families. Events will include:

6 a.m. - Ruck March, Camp Aachen Soccer Field, B675

6:35 a.m. - 10.5 Mile "One Community Run," Camp Aachen Soccer Field, B675

7:15 a.m. - 10K Run from Gate 4

9 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk, 2CR Headquarters, B305
