Register Now!Known as “The World of Ice Giants”, beneath the surface of Austria’s most enigmatic mountains lies a hidden world that will take your breath away—then freeze it in an instant. At 26 miles deep the Eisriesenwelt is the World’s largest Ice cave. On this trip we will drive deep into the Austrian Alps, before riding in a cable car and taking a 45-minute hike to the mouth of the cave. Participants will then take a guided tour through this cave before returning to the cable car. Inside the cave we will to see beautiful ice formations and learn historical and geography facts. Expect to be on your feet hiking, walking, and climbing stairs for 2.5 - 3hrs. The hike itself is at elevation and at a gradual incline. After the cave experience, we will take a short drive to Salzburg where there will be 3-4 hours of free time for lunch and shopping.
*Note: Passport required for entrance to Austria. The cave/short hike is not stroller friendly.
