THE BOX Functional Fit Camp

Tuesday & Thursday: 5:15 p.m.

Cost for THE BOX Functional Fit Camp:

  • $5 for a single class or 2 group exercise ticket
  • $40 monthly for 2 times a week
  • $50 monthly for 3 times a week
  • $65 monthly unlimited times a week

Learn how to train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability. The goal is to Increases the ease of everyday life, have greater muscle memory, low impact, increase flexibility and coordination, improve balance and posture, help with joint pain, and reduce your risk of injury.

Spin Class - Novin

Wednesday: 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

YOGA - Katja

Friday: 10 a.m.

Katja offers two types of yoga sessions: Hatha Yoga - which is gentle and has a slow pace flow and Power Yoga - which is more vigorous and athletic in nature.  Both varieties are offered dependent on the wishes of the participants present for class.

Indoor Cycling - James

Friday: 6:30 a.m.

I have been a cyclist and triathlete for the past 30 years and have enjoyed various indoor cycling classes as a great way to stay fit and get faster. I received my Spinning certification in 2020. In addition to on-bike workouts, I also like to mix in intense bodyweight activities off the bike.

YOGA – Amanda

Monday: YOGA FOR ATHLETES, 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday: ALL LEVEL YOGA, 10 a.m.
Wednesday: ALL LEVEL YOGA, 6:30 p.m.
Thursday: PRENATAL YOGA, 10 a.m.
Saturday (Every other Saturday): ALL LEVEL YOGA, 10 a.m.

A steady-paced flow yoga class that focuses on building core stability and increasing flexibility throughout the body. A consistent yoga practice has been proven to improve strength, balance and flexibility; help with back pain relief; reduce stress and inflammation; and promote better self-care. Yoga also compliments all other types of fitness programs to include weight lifting, running and cycling. In general, it’s just a great way to take care of yourself!

Amanda began practicing yoga in 2005 to combat stress and lose weight. It quickly became something she enjoyed immensely and saw great benefits from in many other areas of her life. A few years later she decided to elevate her practice by becoming an instructor so that she could share the benefits of yoga with others. 

Zumba - Maddie

Tuesday: 7 p.m. & Wednesday: 9:30 a.m.

Maddie became a certified Zumba instructor three years ago. Zumba alternates fast and slow rhythms to improve cardiovascular health. Enjoy this fitness program that incorporates music with dance! 

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) - Jessica
Tower Barracks Physical Fitness Center, B170
Tuesday & Thursday: 5:30 p.m.

Jessie is a longtime multi-athlete. Beginning her training early on as a competitive swimmer, she eventually branched into Triathlons. Now she enjoys combinations of weight lifting and HIIT workouts into her own training. Jessie likes to train to be a multi-athlete so that when the time comes, she can jump into whatever the adventure brings. Join the HITT classes to gain strength, endurance and meet some workout buddies along the way!

Ride Real - Heide (Starting February 2)
Tower Barracks Physical Fitness Center, B170
Wednesday: 3:45-4:30 p.m.

Take ownership of your fitness with this 45 minute class! The class can be modified for the beginner riders and intensified for the roadie/triathlete training for their next big event!  You can be a happier and healthier person with a stronger core and improved cardiovascular system who craves hard work and taking just one more gear!

Cycling is a GREAT non-impact cross training option for those trying to improve their run game, coordination or rehab knees. As the instructor, I will cue and coach as if we were on real bikes and will always encourage you to be curious, playful and part of our team.

Heide has 30 years of group exercise experience! She’s completed 8 marathons, an Ironman and ½ iron competition. Join Heide and push yourself to a happy, healthier and more resilient you!
