Get creative in this hand-building ceramics class at the Arts and Crafts Center on Rose Barracks. This course covers hand-building techniques such as: slab rolling, coil building, reductive carving and slipping and scoring. With these new techniques in hand-building, our instructor will guide you as you build both utilitarian objects as well as sculptures. The possibilities are endless!

Bavaria Arts and Recreation Center Building 2236 RB, Vilseck across the street from the elementary school 

Participants will receive a card with wheel throwing certification to use the wheels during studio hours.

Ceramics Open Studio Hours

  • Monday: CLOSED
  • Tuesday: 1-5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: CLOSED
  • Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays 10:00am-2:30 p.m.                                                                                                                       ***when classes ARE NOT being held.

Cost

$65 per person, per class. Fee includes clay, glazing, firing and instruction.

Registration Information

Register by day prior to class. Open to U.S. ID card holders 6+ (ages 6-17 need parent present). Adults welcome. 

Class limited to eight participants, must have four at a minimum.
