CMA Songwriters Series

Come to Camp Algier for this unplugged and intimate performance!

Note: This event has already passed.

In this intimate performance, the best of country's hit songwriters will tell the stories behind their hit songs and perform them as originally written: raw and from the heart.

Brandy Clark, in her small hometown of Morton, Washington, dreamed to be a country singer. Once she moved to Nashville, she had successful cuts as a songwriter, but being an artist in her own right was a dream she had stopped dreaming until three years ago when her first album, the stunning 12 Stories, debuted.

With a sultry, sulky sensuousness, Angaleena Presley conjures an
unsentimental vision of how one becomes warped by the expectations fed to
youngsters in the record business. For Presley, it’s not just about shining a light on inconvenient truths, it’s also about music that’s as sophisticated as the nuances in the stories she tells.

Grammy winner, and two-time NSAI Songwriter’s Hall of Fame nominee, Marcus Hummon has enjoyed a successful career as a songwriter, recording artist, composer, playwright and author. His songs have been recorded in many genres -Pop, R&B, gospel - and most notably in country music.

Levi Hummon made his imprint on the Nashville community before he realized the extent of his craft. Born and raised in Music City, Levi was surrounded by music greats. The LEVI HUMMON EP, released by Big Machine Label Group in 2016, is a glimpse into the songwriter’s zest for life, thirst for adventure and homage to his upbringing.

Michael Tyler continues to connect with fans and the country music industry, even after building his solo career. After collaborating on numerous hits, his debut album, titled 317, has ranked him on Rolling Stone Country's ‘10 New Artists You Need To Know.’
