Note: This event has already passed.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the gateway to the Bavarian Alps and offers a wide variety of activities for adventurers and families alike. Reach the ceiling of Germany (Zugspitze) via Cable Car or Cog-Wheeled Train to get the absolutely best view of Germany and neighboring Austria. Hike through the enchanting Partnach Gorge or relax on the shores of Eibsee. Garmisch was also the home of the fourth Olympic Winter Games and the Ski Jump Stadium is still operational during winter as depicted in the Hollywood Film Eddie the Eagle.

Garmisch is a great location to gather those amazing Christmas gifts for family member’s back stateside. Regardless of your interest, this trip has a little bit of everything. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen area is well-equipped with bus lines, aerial cable cars, gondolas, and a cogwheel railway that runs from central Garmisch to Grainau, the Eibsee, and the Zugspitze. Information specific on public transportation is available at the Tourist Office during your visit.
