Hunting Course

Learn German hunting laws, culture, animals, techniques & equipment.

This course will prepare and allow participants to take the test to secure a German Hunting License. This course includes lessons on weapon safety, weapon handling, game biology, weapons law, hunting law and much more. This course meets 2-3 times a week to cover the required topics and requires you to practice with a weapon before your exam.

This course will be held at the Outdoor Recreation Center’s Hunting, Fishing, and Sport Shooting (HFSS) classroom in building 126 on main post, Tower Barracks (behind the 7ATC headquarters, near the USO and Chapel Annex. Be aware of a one-way road)

Dates: September 11th, 2025 - December 13th, 2025
Meetings will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and occasionally Saturdays as indicated by your instructor. Class meeting times will be from 18:00 - 20:30 on class dates.

Student Requirements: Current HFSS membership, must be 18 years old at time of testing, and German SOFA status.

Prices: $400

Included in this price is class instruction and course fees. This price does not include HFSS membership, ammunition, range fees, and other incidental fees that may incurred over the course.
