This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back.
Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

Christmas Chaos: A Backstage Comedy!
When the Royal Shakespeare RSC fails to show up, a hapless band of actors has just seven hours to stage A Christmas Carol.

With kids fighting over Tiny Tim, confused actors in the wrong play, and DIY costumes falling apart, it’s a race against time and talent. Featuring rapid-fire physical comedy, actors playing multiple roles, and absolute backstage mayhem, this is a hilarious, fast-paced parody of the holiday classic where everything that can go wrong, does.

Our auditions are open to all!
Whether an experienced pro or have never done a play before,
if you've always been interested, come and audition!

Assistant Director
Work with the Director on the day-to-day operations of rehearsals,
keep lists of technical needs for the show, take down blocking
(Don’t know what that is? Don’t worry! We’ll teach you!).
This is a great way to learn what Directing is all about!

Stage Management
Have no interest in being Onstage, but you love the theater and have organizational skills?
Here’s the job for you! Organize rehearsals and backstage during the performance. Run the show!

Assistant Stage Management
Assist the Stage Manger by running one side of the Stage!
Great position to learn about and move into Stage Management.

Backstage Assistants
Work with the Stage Management team on moving scenery, organizing props, helping with quick-changes, and all the incredibly important jobs that keep a show running!

Lighting and Sound
Run the Light or Sound Board during Dress Rehearsals and Performances.
Knowledge of the technical equipment is helpful but can also be taught.

Costumes
Assist our talented Designers (and maybe even become a designer yourself!),
by helping to “build”, alter and maintain the costumes for a production.

Sets and Props (Design and Construction)
Have building and artsy skills? Here’s the job for you. Help build the scenery and assist our talented prop designers to create interesting and effective stage properties.

Bartending
Be one of our friendly bartenders! We serve beer, wine and soft drinks.
No need to learn complicated drink recipes!
Must be over 21!

Box Office 
Assist our staff in handling “reservations” and “walk-in” ticket sales.

Will Call
Help our patrons with Pre-Paid and Season ticket reservations.

Ushering 
Give the patrons programs and help them find seats.
A good job for our younger volunteers!

Bavaria Performing Arts (BPA) received multiple awards at the 2026 U.S. Army IMCOM Europe One Act Play Festival & YouthFEST ’26, highlighting the exceptional talent, creativity, and commitment of its youth performers, staff, volunteers, and supporters.

At the festival award ceremony, Bavaria Performing Arts received the Special Outstanding Performing Partnership Award for 20 Magical Minutes of Darkness & Silence & Peace. The award recognized Sadie Juarez and Stella Druitt for their outstanding collaborative performance.

Bavaria Performing Arts Manager Rachael Harper also led a youth workshop, “Make the Choice: Building Brave, Specific Performances.” The session brought together 30 youth participants from garrisons across the region. The workshop gave young performers an opportunity to build confidence, make bold artistic choices, and learn alongside fellow theater enthusiasts.

In addition to the festival recognition, Bavaria Performing Arts received the 2026 American Association of Community Theatre Special Recognition Award on February 25, 2026. The award honors BPA for exceptional, far-reaching service of a special nature to community theater and the U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria community.
