About Us
Our mission at Bavaria Performing Arts is to enhance and enrich the lives of all community members across USAG Bavaria by providing high quality live theatre entertainment, arts education for both youth and adults, and volunteer opportunities. As we build our program and our new facility, we will keep this page updated with events and offerings. Stay tuned!
2024-2025 Season
TO BE ANNOUNCED! We are currently picking our season and can’t wait to share it. Until then, come say hello to our new Bavaria Performing Arts Manager on April 24th from 5-6pm at the Tower Barracks Bowling Center. Our Manager will also be in attendance at the Hohenfels Community Huddle on April 25th from 9:30-11am to meet more community members. We look forward to building a thriving arts community.
Auditions & Classes
GENERAL AUDITIONS
Help us pick our 2024/2025 Season by showing us your talent!
Auditions:
June 10th 5-8pm for Youth (Ages 8+)
June 11th 5-8pm for Adults*
*Please Note: We will be casting a 4th of July Cabaret from our Adult talent pool. Callbacks will be held to finalize casting.

Preparation for Auditions:
Please prepare a 60 second cut of a song that shows off your vocal range. Musical Theatre repertoire is preferred. Please select a backing track that is accessible on YouTube or bring a track that is able to be played via Bluetooth speaker or on a CD player. Please make sure you choose a song with no vocals!
Please also prepare a 60 second monologue. If you do not bring one already memorized and prepared, we will have you do a cold read with material that we provide.
There will be a dance audition from 7-8pm that you will be asked to partake in. Please bring appropriate attire!
GENERAL AUDITION WORKSHOPS
Not quite sure how to audition or just need to brush up on your skills? Come attend our workshop with the Bavaria Performing Arts Manager! Each day will go over a separate portion of the audition (acting, dance, and song!).
June 4-6, 4:00-5:30pm for Youth (Ages 8+)
June 4-6, 6:00-7:30pm for Adults (18+)

Volunteer
We are in need of all kinds of volunteers to join our arts community. Please sign-up for VMIS here!
Acting
Our auditions are open to all! Whether you are an experienced pro or have never done a play before but have always been interested, come and audition!
Assistant Director
Work with the Director on the day-to-day operations of rehearsals, keep lists of technical needs for the show, take down blocking (Don’t know what that is? Don’t worry! We’ll teach you!). This is a great way to learn what Directing is all about!
Stage Management
Have no interest in being Onstage, but you love the theater and have good organizational skills? Here’s the job for you! Organize rehearsals and backstage during the performance. Run the show!
Assistant Stage Management
Assist the Stage Manger by running one side of the Stage! Great position to learn about and move into Stage Management.
Backstage Assistants
Work with the Stage Management team on moving scenery, organizing props, helping with quick-changes, and all the incredibly important jobs that keep a show running!
Lighting and Sound
Run the Light or Sound Board during Dress Rehearsals and Performances. Knowledge of the technical equipment is helpful but can also be taught.
Costumes
Assist our talented Designers (and maybe even become a designer yourself!), by helping to “build”, alter and maintain the costumes for a production.
Sets and Props (Design and Construction)
Have building and artsy skills? Here’s the job for you. Help build the scenery and assist our talented prop designers to create interesting and effective stage properties.
Bartending
Be one of our friendly bartenders! We serve beer, wine and soft drinks, so you won’t need to learn complicated drink recipes! Must be over 21!
Box Office
Assist our staff in handling “reservations” and “walk-in” ticket sales.
Will Call
Help our patrons with Pre-Paid and Season ticket reservations.
Ushering
Give the patrons programs and help them find seats. A good job for our younger volunteers!
