Register Now!Located in Northern Italy, the Dolomites are part of the northern Italian Alps. Comprised of fossilized coral reefs and used as one of the many battlefields of World War 1, the Dolomites are deeply rooted in ancient and present history. On this trip we will explore World War 1 tunnels, climb mountains using Via Ferrata cabled routes, spend two nights in a mountain hut, or 'Refugio' in Italian, and explore the picturesque Lake Braies.
The first two days will be spent hiking in the Tre Cime natural park and completing the Via Ferrata, Innerkofler-de Luca, a challenging cabled route with views of Tre Cime. Our third night will be spent camping in the beautiful mountain town of Cortina, during the day, we will set off to hike the Lagazoui Tunnel System. On our final day, we will visit the beautiful Lake Brias and return to Germany. Expect to complete 16+ miles over four days, with the first three days being the most difficult.
