When a disaster or emergency affects the military community, MD&SSO helps coordinate support and recovery services.

Emergency Family Assistance

Support may be provided through:

  • Emergency assistance centers

  • Accountability and needs-assessment systems

  • Referrals to recovery services

These services help families report their status, identify needs, and receive assistance quickly.
 

Evacuation & Repatriation Support

MD&SSO may also assist during evacuations or repatriation efforts for families affected by emergencies overseas.
